Time, cost and quality objectives are basic and common to almost all projects and are discussed in the success subject matter of most projects (Belassi and Tukel, 1996; Walker, 1995). Project management practices are tried and tested processes collected from experiences and lessons learned and have been repeated and improved to produce consistent outcomes and they are documented as examples, baselines and measures (Karim, 2012).
Organizations that execute projects successfully employ effective project management practices as a tool to achieve business objectives. Given the strategic impact that projects have on a business, organizations must follow effective project management practices that measure progress and risks and ensure the right projects can be delivered in alignment with organizational priorities in order to realize improved organizational performance.
